Accoya wood starts life as a fast-growing pine tree (Pinus radiata) grown in managed forests. The pine tree is harvested once it reaches maturity at around the 30 year mark. The raw timber goes through an acetylation process using acetic acid which creates extremely dimensionally stable and durable wood that is nontoxic.
Redefining Wood
Accoya Wood is like no other timber when you look at its combination of durability, stability and versatility. Sustainably sourced, and with a low total lifetime carbon cost, Accoya actively contributes to a circular, bio-based economy.
